This was the best experience. My daughter, 2 of my grandchildren and myself paid for a private tour through the hospital and we met the very caring and devoted doctors and nurses as we proceeded on our tour. Apart from the caring of the zoo animals, we saw lots of injured animals that had been brought in by the public and they were very well cared for. We saw lots of Koalas and even saw up close a 2mth old baby koala who had lost it's mum after being hit by a car. A large green sea turtle was in after it had its right front flipper torn off when it got stuck in a crab trap. It had surgery and was recovering well. I have so much praise for this hospital and the dedication of its staff. 100% of the proceeds from our visit go to this hospital. Well done to the staff for their total love and devotion.

Only did a sneak peak and it was great. Highly recommend. If you love wildlife and you have enough time I would encourage you to do the full tour.

Excellent Stay, Excellent Service Excellent Staff, Suggestions : Need more seating around pool, perhaps an upper deck, Need to have a swipe card and boom gate to regulate paying customers from Random Visitors. Need a swipe card to enter pool , or force patrons to wear arm bands as so many randoms in pool. Other than that would definitely stay again.

It appears that they do some good work here. We were advised at the zoo entry gates to visit the hospital after the zoo on the way back to the car park as the hospital closes a little later. We reached the hospital after the zoo closed around 5pm Unfortunately there wasn't much happening around that time as things were winding down, so a little bummed.

They have a strong mission to help injured wildlife and appreciated opportunity to see them in action. And the information provided about the injured animals they are currently treating and have helped in the past is very interesting to read. Worth the visit for an extra $2.00.
